The post-Christmas schedule of play for the William Hill World Darts Championship third round has been confirmed.

The remaining 32 players will continue their battle for the Sid Waddell Trophy when the tournament resumes on Sunday December 27, with the third round being spread across three packed days of action.

Reigning World champion Peter Wright will face Germany’s Gabriel Clemens as his quest to retain the title sees him return to the Ally Pally stage, while three-time champion Michael van Gerwen plays Ricky Evans.

Monday’s third round ties will feature Grand Slam of Darts champion Jose de Sousa in the afternoon session, while world number three Gerwyn Price, Premier League champion Glen Durrant and two-time World Champion Gary Anderson compete in the evening session.

Tuesday sees the remaining remaining four ties in round three take place, before the fourth round begins with two matches.
